Fort Mill High School’sPink Out for Cancer The Fort Mill High School Baseball Team is doing a Pink Out to support Cancer. This event will be held at the Fort Mill High baseball game against Gaffney High School on April 16, 2010 at 6:00pm. Currently we have 3 members of our team that have been affected by Breast Cancer. We want to have this night to honor their families and to support those who have been affected by cancer in the area. We will be selling t-shirts with proceeds going to York County Cancer Association. The mission of the York County Cancer Association is to help reduce the barriers of optimal cancer care for uninsured and underinsured men, women, and children living in York County by providing financial assistance for the cost of cancer-related medication, transportation, and recovery. The York County Cancer Association also provides financial assistance for the cost of breast cancer screening procedures. We will be selling pink t-shirts for the event for $10 in advance and $12 at the gate with a portion of the money being donated to the York County Cancer Association. People attending the game wearing pink will receive a $2 discount at the gate (normal gate fee is $5.00). The order form can be dropped off at Fort Mill High School, emailed to moffitt@comporium.net, or call Wendi Moffitt at 803-412-5662. A donation can be made to York County Cancer Association in association with the Pink Out for Cancer. To celebrate life, remember those we have lost, and give strength back to those who are fighting cancer.
