  1. Romare Bearden was an African-American who is internationally recognized for his lifelong work as a collage artist. His work tells many captivating and inspiring stories that celebrate the African-American experience. Consider the image entitled Poseidon. In a paragraph or so, describe what you notice or see in the work of art, and explain how this image corresponds to or differs from your image or understanding of the Greek God of the Sea, Poseidon.
