  1. Is it Right to Check Your Credit Score Regularly? By:

  2. Checking your credit score regularly would not affect your credit scores in any way. This is possible for two types of inquiries.

  3. First is the result of your application for credit or any transactions initiated. Inquiries that are the result of an application you submitted can indicate that you have additional debt not yet shown as an account on your credit report.

  4. The second is the result of a review that does not involve your credit account. Unlike the first type, this is shown only to you. It will not affect your credit scores either and are never received by lenders.

  5. What most people overstate is the idea that checking your credit scores regularly has a big impact on your credit score. Truth is, recent inquiries are listed as a credit score factor but have little impact on credit decisions.

  6. If you have no negative information such as criminal records, unpaid bills, and late payments in your credit history, there is no reason for your application to be declined just because you checked credit score regularly.

  7. Lender's decision does not rely on how frequent you check your credit score. They focus more on your negative issues.
