Segments, Rays, Parallell Lines and Planes. 1-3. Definitions. Segment- a segment is a part of a line which contains two endpoints and all of the points between. Ray- A ray is a part of a line consisting of only one endpoint, and extending infinitely in the opposite direction.

  2. Definitions • Segment- a segment is a part of a line which contains two endpoints and all of the points between. • Ray- A ray is a part of a line consisting of only one endpoint, and extending infinitely in the opposite direction.

  3. Definitions • Opposite rays- Two collinear rays with the same endpoint. Opposite rays always form a line. • Parallel lines- two coplanar lines that do not intersect.

  4. Definitions • Skew lines- non coplanar lines which do not intersect. • Parallel planes- planes that never intersect
