How are we achieving this? 1) Access- Walk, Talk and Explore, groups, outreach 2) Communication- Consultations, letters, publicity, events3) Environment- Images, resources4) Training- Father awareness5) Innovation6) Leadership- Role models, supervisions, team meetings What are we doing at Somer Valley Children’s Centres ?

  3. Plans for the future - Further consultations with dads/males - Dads pack- Local events- Book Bugs Adventure- Male volunteers and Advisory Board members

Dads Stay and Play 3rd Saturday of each month, 10.00 – 12.00 Stay and Play with a difference – Bacon Butties Our work with Fathers across Bath East Children’s Centres? 1) The Beginning – The first Session. 23rd October 2010 2) Staffing – Centre Staff and Volunteers3) Activities– fun stuff for dads and their children 4) Conversations – No football! 5) Consultations – what is working and what can be improved6) Mums are for Christmas – Our Annual invitation At Weston Children’s Centre

  6. Where are we going - Continued discussion with dads group- Consultations with dads- Male workers and volunteers in Universal groups- Additional clubs and activities for dads- Engagement of dads through mothers
