1. Exhorted church to remain sexually pure. 2. They were to “master” their own bodies. a) The way of the world. 3. Rejected counsel, they were rejecting God! a) Paul’s words were words of the Lord!
4. Lead quite lives minding their own business. a) Moves to saints that have died in Christ.II. 1 THESSALONIANS 4:13 A. Christians have ability to deal with death.
1. The world has no hope. • a) Believers have eternity of rest to look forward to. • b) Cessation of their hurts, pains, labors. • 2. Christians grieve at loss of a loved one. • a) Life does not cease! • b) Paul goes on to explain.
III. 1 THESSALONIANS 4:14 A. Our resurrection based upon Jesus’ resurrection. 1. He was raised from the dead, so shall we! 2. We will return with Him! IV. 1 THESSALONIANS 4:15
