  4. Admitted Under Another’s Name • Insurance Fraud • Informal Adoption • Problems for NBS, Immunization, local public health follow-up, insurance, medical records (not associated with right person)

  5. Married/Not Married • Insurance Fraud • Medicaid Fraud • Subverting Minnesota Marriage Laws • Should You Ask for a Marriage Certificate?

  6. Paternity • Multiple ROPs • ROP with not the biological father (insurance fraud, social stigma, informal adoption) • Refusal to complete ROP (MFAR, Child support)

  7. Registration for Infant Not Born in Minnesota • US Citizenship • Multiple Registrations for benefits • “Informal” Adoption or Sale of Infant

  8. Hospital Complimentary BC • If Accepted – Not accurate, not legal, easy to forge • If Rejected - “Upset” Parents or Registrant leading to delay • MR&C Commemoration – An accuracy check, labeled as not a legal birth certificate, customizable to facility
