  5. Tip #4: Lean against a wall Emphasizes your subject, rather than the fact that he/she is just standing there. R.B. Hayes High School

  6. Tip #5: Use a subject’s environment Your viewers will get a clearer idea of what the individual is like if you photograph him/her in a natural environment. Monique Martinez, R.B. Hayes High School

  7. Tip #6: Near windows R.B. Hayes High School Don’t photograph a subject in front of windows. Instead, stand near windows to utilize their natural light. However, be aware of how that light may wash out your subject and adjust other camera settings accordingly.
