  4. Narrowing down the scope • Data: organizing, gathering, making accessible DBs, websites, Excel sheets … • Flagging, querying, statistics • Todoitems per MP3 meetings/minutes • Knowledge-base – long-term logging JIRA, Sharepoint, Twiki, DFS workspace

Definition of scope • In the scope: • Longterm storage of knowledge and understanding of specific magnets/magnet families/circuits/circuit families. • Easy to search and contribute. • Not in the scope • Action items and immediate follow-up • storage/organization of data and system parameters, queries, statistics.

  6. JIRA&Sharepoint • JIRA • does much more than the above scope describes • is intended for issue-tracking, statistics • Sharepoint • very general-purpose, not really good at any specific feature

TWiki • plus: • simple navigation of information. • per circuit/family structure, with extra-pages for more wide-spread problems. • most features easily editable in multi-platform WYSIWYG editor. • plugins (spreadsheets, graphs, drawings, …) • can host attached files and pictures with description. • automatic tracing of document changes. • automatic generation of pdf document. • minus: • some features require Wiki markup language

Proposal • Set up a TWiki page • Create the main structure • Create templates for circuit pages • Import also current Sharpoint Wiki pages • Put minutes and presentations on this page? • Transfer and update analysis handbook, CCC HowTos • Clearly mark old MP3 site as obsolete • Prepare a DFS workspace for large amounts of data, generated in the coming weeks.
