Human & Physical Features Did you know El Salvador has many interesting human and physical features? For example, El Salvador’s population is 6,668,000 people,compared to 299,846,000 people in the USA.Also, the life expectancy of El Salvador is 71,9 years of age,but the US's is 78.2 years of age. The birthrate in El Salvador is 22.8, in the US itis 14. The infant mortality rate is 21.5,and the US is 6.3. The doctors per 100,000 people 124, compared to 256 doctors in the USA. The literacy rate (how many people can read and write) is 85% and in the US it is 86%. There are 789 passenger cars in the US compared to 64 in El Salvador. The total area of El Salvador is 8,124 square miles and the USA is 3,749,083 square miles. In conclusion, El Salvador has many interesting human and physical features.
Flag Did you know El Salvador’s flag has two bands of blue with a band of white in the middle? On the white band there is the State Coat of Arms. The white band represents peace. In addition, the State Coat of Arms is based on the Coat of Arms of the former United Provinces of Central America. Also, the blue bands represent the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. The current flag was adopted on September 27, 1972. As a result of unauthorized use of the flag of El Salvador,there will be a monetary fine. In conclusion, El Salvadors flag has a very interesting design and history.
Government -The capital of El Salvador is San Salvador. -The national holiday is Independence day. - There have been many previous constitutions. - The national symbol is the Turquoise-Browed Motmot. - The national anthem is called Himno Nacional de El Salvador.
Religion About 78% of El Salvador’s people are Christian. This is a very small portion of the 2 billion Christiansworld wide. Also, there is one God who is a trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Aside from that, the human situation and life's purpose is “All have sinned and are thereby separated from God, salvation is through faith in Christ and for some sacraments and good works.” It is believed that you can get closer to God by prayer, Bible study, baptism, communion, church on Sundays, and many holidays. Christians believe that after you die you either go to heaven for eternal life or to hell. In conclusion, Christianity is a very interesting religion that is practiced throughout El Salvador.
Animals, Plants, & Natural Resources El Salvador has many interesting animals, plants,and natural resources. With this in mind, lets start with natural resources. One of El Salvadors natural resources is petroleum (oil). Petroleum is a fossil fuel. After all, fossil fuels are formed when sea plants or animals die, and the remains become buried under several thousand feet of silt, mud,and sand. An animal native to El Salvador is the Turquoise-Browed Motmot. It is the national symbol of El Salvador. Also, this species of motmot weighs between 60 and 65 grams, and is about 34 centimeters long. With attention to the Turquoise-Browed Motmot, the bird digs burrows, instead of building nests. The burrows are between .6 and 2.5 meters in diameter. In conclusion, El Salvadors animals, plants, and natural resources are very interesting.
