WHAT IS LowCVP? The Partnership is a new advisory and action body in the UK Its mission is to promote the shift to low carbon vehicles and fuels to maximise the potential for UK business to gain competitive advantage from that shift

WHAT ARE LOWCVP’S AIMS? The Partnership’s aims are: 1. to encourage industries and other stakeholders to engage proactively in the move to low-carbon vehicles and fuels
WHAT ARE LOWCVP’S AIMS? to provide a forum in which stakeholders can work together in overcoming market barriers affecting the shift to new vehicles and fuels
WHAT ARE LOWCVP’S AIMS? 3. to provide a forum for Government, industry and other partners to liaise on upcoming policy developments and regulatory issues
WHAT ARE LOWCVP’S AIMS? 4. to provide Government with independent input to and feedback on the progress and effectiveness of the Foresight Vehicle and other low-carbon RD&D programmes.

When will it start to operate? • October/November 2002 • Partnership Board formed in discussion with leaders of the stakeholder groups • October to December 2002 • Active recruitment drive • Early 2003 • Partnership itself formally launched • Election of Partnership Chair • March 2003 • Launch team hands over to a dedicated secretariat
