3. 1 Bucky and Bitt Bitt are very happy. They will cook for their special friends. Bucky and Bitt Bitt are thinking of something delicious they can cook for their friends. What do you think Bucky and Bitt Bitt will cook?

4. I am ready to cook! 2 Bucky and Bitt Bitt look for a pot, a spoon and a knife. Bucky and Bitt Bitt find all the things they need in the kitchen: a pot, a spoon and a knife. What do we do with a spoon? What do we do with a knife?

5. 3 They will make a big pot of soup. Bitt Bitt puts in a carrot, some grass and biscuits. They decide to make a delicious pot of soup. Bucky says, “What can we put in the soup?” Bitt Bitt says, “I will add some of my favourite things: a carrot, some grass, and my biscuits.” Do you think this soup will taste good?

6. 4 Bucky puts in things she likes too - a bone, a toy car and an old shoe. Bucky looks in the cupboard for some of her favourite things to add to the soup. Do you think this soup will taste good?

7. 5 Bucky and Bitt Bitt add some eggs to the soup. “It doesn’t look like soup,” says Bitt Bitt. “Let’s add some eggs to make it stick together.” What do you think will happen to the eggs?

8. Oh…yuck! 6 The eggs fall on the floor and break. SPLAT! The eggs smash all over the floor! Bucky tastes the sticky, lumpy soup.” Oh… yuck!” she says. Why does the soup taste yucky ?

9. 7 Lainey and Fiona go into the kithen and see the big mess. Lainey and Fiona run into the kitchen. “Oh no, what are you doing?” they cry out, looking at the mess on the floor and in the pot. “We are making a special soup for our special friends, but, but…I think we need some help,” says Bitt Bitt. Who are Lainey and Fiona? How can Lainey and Fiona help Bucky and Bitt Bitt?

10. 8 Everyone takes a taxi to the supermarket. Let’s fasten our seat belts! Lainey, Fiona, Bucky and Bitt Bitt go for a ride in a taxi to the supermarket. Lainey says, “Buckle up, everybody!” Why do they wear seat belts?

11. 9 Bucky and Bitt Bitt buy carrots, onions, potatoes and a chicken. Bucky and Bitt Bitt take a trolley and fill it with many vegetables: carrots, potatoes and onions. Chicken will be nice in the soup too! What kind of soup are Bucky and Bitt Bitt making?

12. 10 Bitt Bitt cannot find tofu in the supermarket. They go to the wet market. Bitt Bitt looks for some tofu, but she cannot find it on the shelf. “Let’s go to the wet market,” says Bucky. What is a wet market?

13. 11 At the wet market, Bucky and Bitt Bitt buy tofu and flowers. At the wet market, they find a big table full of soft, white tofu. They buy some to put in their soup. Bucky sees some beautiful flowers, and Bitt Bitt agrees that they will look lovely for their surprise dinner. Do you like to eat tofu? What colours are the flowers?

14. 12 At home, Bucky and Bitt Bitt wash their hands before they cook. Back at home, they get ready to cook. The two friends wash their hands before they wash the vegetables. Do you wash your hands before you eat?

15. 13 Bitt Bitt is busy in the kitchen. Lainey and Fiona help to cut the vegetables into small pieces. Bucky puts water into the pot, and Bitt Bitt adds salt and pepper. Mmm, the soup smells so good! Is it safe for Bucky and Bitt Bitt to use a sharp knife? What can they smell?

16. 14 Bucky puts bowls and flowers on the table. While Bitt Bitt is cooking the soup, Bucky sets the table with bowls and spoons. She puts the flowers and water into a large vase. The table looks beautiful, and the surprise is almost ready! How many bowls can you see on the table?

17. 15 Surprise! Dinner is ready. Everyone is happy. Bucky and Bitt Bitt put the pot of hot, steaming soup on the table. “Surprise!” calls out Bucky. “Come and enjoy your treat,” says Bitt Bitt. “It’s for you, Lainey and Fiona. Thank you for taking such good care of us.” Everyone is very happy! Who is the surprise for?
