  1. HOLY BOLDNESS

  2. ‘and the Word of the Lord....spread, and grew in power.’ (Acts 12:24; Acts 13:49; Acts 19:20)

  3. Why there’s radical inclusion -- as an Ethiopian eunuch, an outcast, is offered baptism -- in Acts 8:38. • Then there’s radical conversion -- as Saul, an evil terrorist is converted on the road to Damascus -- in Acts 9:18.

  4. Then there’s radical wisdom -- as Apostle Paul out-maneuvers Elymas, the devilish magician -- in Acts 13:11. • Then there’s radicaldeliverance -- as imprisoned Paul and Silas are sprung out of jail by an earth-shaking God -- in Acts 16:35.

  5. Then there’s radical healing -- as Eutychus falls out of a window during Paul’s sermon, but then is raised from the dead -- in Acts 20:10. • And then the grand finale -- radical boldness, as Paul keeps on preaching, though chained to an armed guard, under house arrest -- in our text in Acts 28:31.

  6. Realize: Life Is Not Fair

  7. “…I was arrested in Jerusalem and handed over to the Romans,” Paul notes in Acts 28:17. “… [But they] wanted to release me, because I was not guilty…But…the Jews objected [and so things drug out, and]…I was compelled to appeal to Caesar…” (Acts 28:17-19).

  8. “Boldly and without hindrance” (Acts 28:31) Paul just ‘keeps on keeping on,’ in spite of extreme unfairness. Preaching “…the kingdom of God and [teaching] about the Lord Jesus Christ…” (Acts 28:31) -- nevertheless.

  9. “Don’t despair! Don’t be discouraged, though you experience pain in life because of God’s Word. For if God is on your side, who cares who’s against you -- be it bishop or pope or any worldly beast” William Tyndale, paraphrase.

  10. Don’t Expect Everyone To Share Your Conviction and Hope.

  11. Paul’s detractors “…came in even larger numbers [than expected] to the place where he was [imprisoned]…” (Acts 28:23) But there’s more. “…Some were [even] convinced [of the truth of Jesus]…” (Acts 28:24)

  12. “…Others [however] would not believe. They disagreed…and began to leave…” (Acts 28:25)

  13. ‘I yam what I yam in Jesus – and that’s all I yam!” It’s fascinating to see Paul making this declaration in 1 Corinthians 15 – “I am what I am [because of the grace of God, in Christ]” – Paul notes – “…and his grace toward me has not been in vain…” (I Corinthians 15:10)

  14. The Kingdom of God says: blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. • The Kingdom of the World says: blessed are those who hunger and thirst for money, sex and power.

  15. The Kingdom of God says: blessed are the merciful; blessed are the peacemakers. • The Kingdom of the World says: blessed are the aggressive, those who ‘settle the score,’ ‘fighting fire with fire.’

  16. The Kingdom of God says: blessed are those who give their life away sacrificially. • The Kingdom of the World says: blessed are those who look out for ‘number one,’ who realize, it’s ‘every man for himself,’ ‘me, myself, and I.”

  17. Know You Cannot Fail -- Risk All For God!

  18. What-If?

  19. ‘What-Ever!!’

  20. “Let them go!” Gamaliel declares. “For if their…activity is of human origin it will fail. But if it is from God -- you [won’t] be able to stop these men -- [anyhow]…”!! (Acts 5:38-39).

  21. ‘What-Ever!!’
