Extrication: • Is an organized, systematic set of planned activities with the objective of safely freeing or disentangling the victim as rapidly, yet as safely as possible.
Disentanglement: • Removal of the victim from the vehicle or removing the wreckage from the victim.
Rescue: An organized, systematic means of: • Locating the injured • Accessing the injured = (extrication) • Stabilizing the injured • Transporting the injured
