  2. How it’s played: • A volleyball game is usually played with the best out of 3, ending each set at 25 points. If both teams have 1 win, they play the 3rd set up to 15. • Must win by 2 points. • In order to get a point, you have to hit it into the opponent’s court, if the ball touches the boundary line, it’s in. • There’s a maximum of 3 hits before getting it over the net. • If the opposing team hits it out of bounds or if they can’t get the ball over to your side, your team gets a point. • The ball is “out” when it touches an object outside of the court. (ceiling, wall, etc.)

  3. The Rules of Volleyball: • Blocking or spiking a serve during a game is not allowed. • Maximum of 6 players on each side, 3 in the front & 3 in the back. • Serving is done behind the restraining line, either underhand or overhand. • If one team hits the ball and it touches the ceiling or the walls, the opposing team gets a point. • There’s a maximum of 3 hits per side. A player can’t hit it twice in a row, blocking is not considered a hit. • Teams will rotate in a clockwise manner each time they win the serve. • Violations include: • Stepping on or over the line when serving. • Serving the ball into the net. • Carrying, palming or throwing the ball during a rally. • Touching the net with any part of the body. • Reaching on or over the net.
