Survey Results • Surveyed members plus friends referred by members. • Surveyed: Phoenix = 20, ABQ = 4, Tucson = 3, • Responded: Phoenix = 10, ABQ = 2, Friends = 9 • Responder’s Priorities for CAZC • Member education • Local projects (in support of INCOSE WGs) • Chapter Growth in membership • Local employer education regarding the value of SE • Responder Service needs (based on Surveys) • Ways of participating other than meetings • Adequate, Accurate and Timely communications • Invited Speakers at meetings • Meetings monthly on Thursday (95%) or Tuesday. (85%) • Tutorials on Saturday (50%)

  6. Local projectsin support of INCOSE WG’s • Intelligent SE Design project (J. Ring) • Systems Engineering and Education (W. Smith) • Teaching teachers to make better use of computer based training • Creating 30-60 minute guest exercises. Example, Concept Mapping (Dr. Novak, examples, method and software). • Systems Dynamics (software " I-Think"). • Joint Air Transportation WG project (A. Jain) • Other? Each Project Leaders will produce a prospectus to attract associates.

Educate Local Employersre: Value of SE • Compile list of managers in local organizations performing SE (Jack Ring is List Keeper) • including smaller companies and government organizations • Invite managers to tutorials • Offer private briefings on Local Projects and, as material becomes available from SECOE and others, on Value of SE • Investigate joint initiative with ASU (Jack Ring)

Chapter Growth • Include ‘Friends’ in chapter communications • The nine survey responders • Fourteen additional ones since the survey. • Encourage friends to join INCOSE. • Compile list of local organizations performing SE • (including smaller companies and government organizations) • Jack Ring is List Keeper • Communicate “presence” of CAZC • Inform contacts of CAZC events, presentations and papers • interact with other engineering groups in the valley • Start an “Each One Reach One” contest.
