Foxes live in wooded areas, thickets and swampy areas. They live in North and South American, but can be found in many other places around the world.
The Gray Fox is omnivorous. He eats insects, birds and their eggs, squirrels , mice, chipmunks, corn, amphibians and reptiles.
Their predators are wolves and humans. Their life span is about 10 years in the wild and 13 in captivity. In spring the baby foxes called kits are born. The litter size is 4 to 5 kits.
The fox protects itself by using its hooked claws to run up trees. We like this animal because he is cute.
