FOX Life hosts an eclectic mix of international and local fiction. The schedule is aimed to meet the taste and requirements of a female audience, houses the most successful TV products, including reality and original productions. Around the world, hit shows such as Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Grey’s Anatomy, & America’s Next Top Model have turned FOX Life into one of the highest-rated channels launched in the last few years. The channel currently reaches more than 38m homes in 80 territories including the Balkans, Europe, and Latin America.
PRODUCERS BRIEF • The channel was rebranded from FX to Fox on 11th January 2013 to broaden to a more general entertainment channel. The target demographic of Fox is both men and women aged between 18 and 35 years old. • Fox is known for global hits such as The Walking Dead, Dexter, True Blood, Falling Skies, Family Guy and NCIS. New programmes added to the schedule include Louie, The Ricki Lake Show, Men at work & Da Vinci’s Demon’s. • Currently the channel reaches more than 106 million homes in 101 markets including Europe, The Balkans, Latin America and Africa.
PRODUCERS BRIEF What we want to commission • We are looking to commission exciting new Prime Time Factual Entertainment content to sit alongside the high end acquisitions on FOX lifeand/or FOX. • We would like to commission 3 x Prime Time Factual Entertainment or Features shows in the next 3 months… We’re on a roll! • Our mission is to create new original programmes with international appeal. • Our aim is to create Factual Entertainment shows that set us apart from those on other channels. • The original English language version will air on our Fox channels throughout Europe, with a view to creating local formats. • In keeping with the brand attitude we need to be bold and breakthrough

Nailing current topics, Emotional journeys, Sexy, Funny never seen before TV. Shows to capture the spirit of our time. • Ideally close ended eps runs of 8-10 eps per series. Repeatability and long shelf life is key. • Budget according to ambition, average range 80 - 100k per show. • The ambition is to create a returnable format and make a show that won’t run out of good ideas. • Duel Viewing Age 25 – 44 years old

We will consider commissioning Ob Docs if the subject matter travels. • Man up is a Man Over show with a difference, tapping into unchartered territory, exploring the inner workings of the male psyche and it’s a hot fresh new topic – what defines the 21st Century Man? There’s an emotional story, strong characters and a format that allows some flexibility.
