Purpose of the making • The purpose of Zero Dark Thirty is to portray the trials and efforts behind finding Osama Bin Laden. • They show the five plus years it took to do extensive research on finding the inter circle of people that connected to him. • It also showed the violence and torturing it took to get some of this information. • The final purpose would be to show that Bin Laden is dead and our American army found him and killed him.

3. Background • On September 11th, 2001 Terrorist Leader Osama bin Laden arranged an attack on the World Trade Center in New York, USA. • Osama bin Laden was a al Qaeda leader.

4. Inaccuracies • Maya is a name they used to keep the real girl’s identity safe. • They kept the girls name as “Jen” for safety reasons • Maya is recruited out of high school, “Jen” was recruited out of college • The SEAL Team talked and yelled to much • They didn’t call out “Osama, Osama”

5. Accuracies • “One Hundred Percent” was actually a direct quote from “Jen” • She worked on the case for 5 years • Jessica “Jennifer Lynne Matthews” was actually killed by the bomber • The dog Cairo was actually a Belgian Malinois named Cairo in real life. • Kuwaiti, Bin Laden’s courier, drove a white S.U.V. whose spare-tire cover was inscribed with an image of a white rhino • The suicide car bomber was a trusted source who turned out to be a double agent working for al-Qaeda.

6. Facts • SEAL Matt Bissonnette published the book “No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission that Killed Osama Bin Laden” under the name “Mark Owen” • The Dog Cario won the Animal of the Year Award in 2011 from the President. • One of the SEALs in the movie is named “The Wolf” and he is actually a real SEAL
