The conference • Goal: To create a professional network among Iranian students in US universities in the North-east region (First phase) • Theme: Mostly revolving around Humanitarian, science &technology, health & medicine, and art • Organizer: State University of New York at Albany (SUNY-Albany) with collaboration of ISAU • Audience: It is open to every body • Registration: $20 fee is a prepaid reward which will be paid back through a food bonus card to the person
Venue and Date • Location: SUNY at Albany, reserve a major conference hall with four large satellite rooms • Suggested date: May or June 2012 • Arriving in Albany: Friday evening/night • The program is planned for 2 days • Opening: Saturday morning • Entertainment: Saturday night cultural event • Closing: Sunday evening
Tentative schedule Saturday • 10-11:30 AM Major Plenary session; three keynote speakers (20 min/person & 30 min Q &A) • 11:45-1:30 PMfourPlenary Sessions; six speakers/session (10 min/person & 45 min Q & A) • 1:30-2:30 PM lunch and poster presentation • 2:30-4:00 PMFour main sessions (Arts, Science and Technology, Humanity, health & Medicine) for short oral presentations; 15 speakers/session (5 min/person & 15 min backup) • 4:00-5:30 PM three fast introductory meeting sessions; several circles of thirty pairs (3 min/person to talk to his/her pair & then move to the next person) • 6:00-7:30 PM Dinner • 7:30-10 PM Entertainment; Live music and DJ
