  2. Vision of SLARTCAll Human Rights for all

Mission of SLARTC : To help protect the Human Rights of the poor and downtrodden, backward and minority communities, dalits, scheduled caste and scheduled tribes, women and children, aged persons, vulnerable and marginalized groups, mentally and physically challenged persons and people in distress and in need of legal and social justice.

  4. Legal Status : • Registered under Societies Registration Act. in 1983. • FCRA Registration 1985. • Income Tax Registration Under Section 80G

  5. Activities : • Free legal aid, advise and counseling to : victims of trafficking : victims of domestic violence : women ; children ; aged persons needy and distressed persons. • Public Interest Litigation cases in Calcutta High Court and Supreme Court of India • Counseling for cases of marital discord, family counseling, counseling to aged persons; counseling to traumatized children, victims of trafficking and domestic violence.

  6. Awareness building programs on : • Laws related to women • Laws related to children • Legal rights of labourers • Pollution hazards and legal protection • Voluntary organizations and the law

  7. Rights of the child, Juvenile Justice • Laws relating to prevention & protection of child labour • Rights to shelter and tenancy rights • Law relating to eviction, Government acquirement of land, slum, etc. • Socio-legal issue • Handicapped persons welfare measures, facilities available and legal protection

  8. Women’s rights, Human Rights & CEDAW • Ethical and legal issues related to HIV/AIDS • Human Trafficking and Law • Protection of women from Domestic Violence Act.
