Thomas’s Early Life • Thomas Edison was born on February 11, 1847 in bustling port of Malian, Ohio. • Later moved to port Huron Michigan • When Thomas was young his administrator thought he was a victim of adhd (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) • His mother decided to put him in home school soon his mother saw that it was not that he had a disorder.

  3. His Inventions • August 12, 1877, The first great invention developed by Edison, the tin foil phonograph. • In September 1882, the first commercial power station went into operation providing light and power to customers in a one square mile area; the electric age had begun.

  4. His quotes • Being busy does not always mean real work. The object of all work is production or accomplishment and to either of these ends there must be forethought, system, planning, intelligence, and honest purpose, as well as perspiration. Seeming to do is not doing • Istart where the last man left off. • Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.
