  1. As Students How Can We Reduce Our Ecological footprint On Our Local Environment ? As a student I can reduce my ecological footprint by Recycling so that makes our earth greener. We all hear about global warming but we never think that we are responsible for it. We are wasting a lot of things on this great earth and that is decreasing at recycling.

  2. Why Recycling is so Important for many years now we have been creating toxic waste and dumping them into the environment that we are living and not even realizing the damage that we are doing and it is hurting all living beings around us. Every day we use products in our households and work places to fulfill our basic needs. Most of these products and their packaging are wasted and dumped in garbage cans, which end up in land fill sites. In addition, We are ignoring the fact that a major portion of our waste can be recycled or reused.

  3. For example, production of recycled paper uses 80% less water and 65% less energy, and produces 95% less air pollution. Therefore, if we recycle we also preserve wildlife. When fewer trees are cut down to make materials or to make space landfills, habitat for wildlife remains. More habitat for animals means less animal extinction. In fact , recycling is important for a lot of reasons. One of these is that we are quickly using up the earth's precious resources in the current material world where we take all the incredible products around us for granted.

  4. But the truth is that many of the materials these are made of are in short supply and we will run out of them naturally before long. For one thing, when we cut down trees we are losing breathable oxygen and if we keep cutting down trees the world might end soon.

  5. Facts about Recycling people who live in the united states uses 650 pounds of paper each year 100 million tons of wood could be saved each year if all that paper was recycled. people use 2.5 million plastic bottles every hour. A family consumes 182 gallons of soda, 29 gallons of juice, 104 gallons of milk, and 26 gallons of bottled water a year. That's a lot of containers that can all be recycled.

  6. About 80% of people throw away is recyclable, yet the recycling rate is only 28%. Recycling one ton about 2,000 pounds of paper saves 17 trees, two barrels of oil (enough to run the average car for 1,260 miles, 4,100 kilowatts of energy enough power for the average home for six months, 3.2 cubic yards of landfill space, and 60 pounds of pollution. 17 trees saved by recycling one ton of paper can absorb a total of 250 pounds of carbon dioxide out of the air each year.

  7. If all of our newspapers were recycled, we could save about 250 million trees each year! If every American recycled just one-tenth of their newspapers, we could save about 25 million trees each year. Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to run a TV for three hours. In spite of this, Americans throw away enough aluminum to rebuild our entire commercial fleet of airplanes every three months. do we now that Recycling Releases less air and water pollutants,Reduces demand on trees ,water, and minerals ,Reduces emissions of greenhouse gases ,Reduces the need for landfills and incinerators ,Creates jobs which help the state and national economy and Helps to sustain the environment for future generations.

  8. Cause & Effect cause- when we don't Recycle we are hurting all kind of animals and us. Affect- if we don’t Recycle more trees get cut down and we are going to lose little by little oxygen. As for the animals they are losing their habitat and mostly die because the forest is the only place that they live in. As for us so many trees are getting cut down we are losing little by little oxygen.

  9. Why should we Recycle Carbon dioxide is a green house gas that is a major contributor to global warming Manufacturing certain products releases a lot more carbon dioxide than recycling them would. One big reason for those who wonder why should we recycle paper is that for each ton of paper that is recycled, 15 trees are saved from being felled. We are aware of the fact that trees use up carbon dioxide from atmosphere to make food through the process of photosynthesis. It is estimated that one tree absorbs almost 250 pounds of carbon dioxide each year.

  10. Things we can Recycle We can recycle organic materials like yard wastes and leftover fruits and vegetables by making a compost and using compost to fertilize our garden. Also we can Recycle: aluminum cans, glass bottles, steel cans (pet food, veggies, tuna, soup, etc.) ,plastic soda bottles glass jars and bottles, plastic milk jugs, newspapers, magazines, phone books, white paper, cardboard, paper bag, plastic bags, rechargeable batteries, glass,, Napkins, Detergent Bottles, Facial tissues, Packing, Egg cartons, Trash bags and Pencils.

  11. Things can not be recycled Hazardous Waste (oil, paint, chemicals) ,Styrofoam and Media (TV, Computers, Radios), Appliances.

  12. How could we help our earth we could help our environment by a lot of things but the first things we can do is recycling. In addition, have a day in the school where we plant flowers, trees, and we can make a vegetable garden. there fore, we can go to the beach and clean on the sand waters and more. for on thing we can also make a day where we can reuse less water paper and plastics and more.

  13. Experiment step 1. I throw my wastable in the recycle bin.step 2. I count each thing that can be recycledstep 3. I did this for a hole weekstep 4. I put in a chartstep 5. I recycled more than 15 pounds of plastic and paper
