Programming The Mind For Success • Application Activity: • Partner up and tell your partner about your best performance in sports and what you think led to that peak performance. • How you felt that day • Anything you did out of the ordinary • What thoughts you were having
How Successful People Think • Successful people/athletes... • Have great memories of past success • Have short memories of past failures • Constantly think about what they want in life/on the mountain • Go about their business every day with a purpose • Are constantly learning and striving to improvethemselves • Strive for perfection, but allow themselves to fail in the process • Have extreme desire for winning (intestinal fortitude) • Are dedicated to their craft and have an intense work ethic

Taking Responsibility • Is it easier to take responsibility or make an excuse? • Who is in charge of your behaviors? • Who is in charge of your success or failure? • Who is in charge of making a change in your performance?
