Music Video Storyboard This storyboard does not portray any of the actors used for the music video. Also some scene will show different models. However, this is to show the positioning of the actors. All relevant information such as camera shots, movements, angles, costumes, props , locations and so on will be mentioned in each slide for refference.
Scene 1: Living Room Scene In the College Cafe. Still (using tripod) close-up, tracking the main characters female characters feet walking into the scene, towards the green sofa.
Scene 1: Living Room Scene -Still, Long Mid-shot (LMS) of female character sitting on the sofa. She is looking frustrated and anxious as she is waiting for her boyfriend, who is very late. -Possibly wearing something casual but smart or formal, to represent that she might be going out to celebrate. -Shot should leave room above head and below knees.
Scene 1: Living Room Scene Close-up (CU) Bird’s Eye View (BEV) of mobile phone and Ipod on the side table (right side of where female character is sitting). Phone rings as she receives a message from boyfriend. -NOTE* Place Ipod to the right to signify as being right side of life (also being a code to the song called ‘Treat Your Right’). - Mobile Phone pref Blackberry / Iphone to signify post-modern and contemporary society. -Extreme Close-up, BEW of when she opens text message.
Scene 1: Living Room Scene -Revert back to LMS of her sitting on the left as she reads text. -Show facial expression of disappointment. -She places back the phone to it original position and then picks up Ipod to listen to the song, which then begins.
Scene 2: Studio Scene -Fade in from black. -MS of Wezley in studio in front of black background. -Spotlight shinning directly at him. -Zoom-in or jump-cut to ECU (Extreme Close Up) showing from eyes to bottom lip when he says ‘can’t love you like I can init’. -black/ grey and white outfit to complement background.
Scene 3: Dancing Youth Scene -Panning, Free hand, OTS (Over The Shoulder), Long-shot/ LMS of all 3 young people enjoying themselves. -Preferably a Boom Box or big CD player located in the scene to represent hip-hop with a “touch” of New York Bronx (old-school style) -Slowly track teenagers who may be crossing 180 Degree line, from left to right vice-a-versa. - Very casual multi-colour nut matching or hip-hop like outfits. (Baseball caps, trainers, big jewellery are allowed for this scene only. -Not too much make-up (not to look too fake).
Scene 3: Dancing Youth Scene -Panning, High Angle, OTS, CU of all 3 young people enjoying themselves individually. -Use combination of shot i.e High Angle MS etc.
Scene 4: Boy vs Girls Scene - MS, POV of the rapper and friends walking (up to the first ‘baby- baby’ -chorus) -From behind the artists shoulder, film the artist turning his head to glance at the female.
Scene 4: Boy vs Girls Scene - MS, POV of the female character and friends walking -From behind the artists shoulder, film the artist turning his head to glance at the female.
Scene 4: Boy vs Girls Scene -LS of both parties on either side of screen. -Separated by a 1-2 meter gap. -No motion.
Scene 2: Studio Scene -Artist rapping from 1st to 2nd line of v1. -MS of Wezley in studio in front of black background.
Scene 5: Cheating Scene -Low Angle, LS and mid close-up of female character and boyfriend walking hand-in-hand past shops in town.
Scene 5: Cheating Scene -Freehand, CU/ MS of boyfriend turning around to look at another girl. -Pan, to track the girl walking past. - Pan back to boyfriend as he continues walking with girlfriend.
Scene 2: Studio Scene -Wezley rapping from “Coz babes he can’t”, until end of verse. -MS of Wezley in studio in front of black background to show gestures.

Scene 6: Dance Group(after 2nd Chorus) • Combination of shot (MS/LMS/LS/ELS) of dancers dancing in a studio or area with a lot of graffiti. • Tracking and Zoom-in on routine to add “jumpy effect”. • Various out colourful outfits and extras (baseball caps). 16
Scene 7:Female Character walking out of college alone • Still, OTS, MS, 3rd person POV of Wezley walking from behind female character. • Casual outfit like track suit or jeans an top. • Natural make-up 17
Scene 7:Female Character walking out of college alone • LMS> MS of female character turning around. (also get shot of smile from artist POV) • He then smiles and says to her “So I tried, but you told me you’ve got a man, so I played it cool, I was like”. 18
Scene 7:Female Character walking out of college alone • From a Low Angle MS and LS, she then walks away but he quickly grabs her hand and pulls her back. • He raps from from “when I first saw you” until end of verse. 19

Scene 7: Restaurant Scene -High Angle MS of both characters. -Free hand to track conversation (rather than shot-reverse-shot) -Slow zoom-in and out, to intensify the scene (passionate= zoom-in and zoom-out when female character tries to “hold themselves back”). -Female character seated on left side of table, male character on right. -Both characters looking happy and are slowly creating a passionate atmosphere.
Scene 7: Restaurant Scene -Individual CU of both characters. -Still camera (tripod) to capture happy facial expressions (smile). -Blur background to focus on main characters.

Scene 8: Wez and new Girlfriend • Rapper and new girlfriend are walking hand-in-hand past location of scene 4. (LMS, MS, ELS) • They walk past her ex who is surprised to see female character move on. As they continue to walk on, artist winks at ex. (OTS from ex, MS, ELS, LS, Low angle). Also se shot reverse shot or match-on action of both characters. • Casual outfits (trainers, jersey jackets, baseball caps, big studded earrings). 28
