  2. Purpose • The intension for the experiment was to try to reduce pressure to an egg when dropped at a high altitude.

  3. Background • Our gondola was a hand made box made of mostly wood, duct tape, some where around industrially strength glue and wire. • The drop mechanism was nothing more than a few holes and bottles with fishing line tied to the ends.

  4. Hypothesis & Tests • Our hypothesis was to see if it was possible to keep an egg from cracking when dropped at an exceptionally high altitude • The test was to drop four eggs with padding, Parachutes, Both, and a control egg. • To except the hypothesis was if we succeeded at keeping at least one egg from breaking. • If we were to reject the hypothesis is if no eggs survived a huge drop like that.

  5. Results • We had a correct idea about keeping an egg from cracking, a parachute and padding. • Much of it could have gone better if we actually spent more time preparing in the morning when we were setting the payload into the gondola. • Even though we had some success, we learned how to improve for next time by keeping the egg more secure. • Results also say doing separate experiments would’ve helped a hole lot. • Our results is that it is actually harder to put the egg into an environment where it wont break than not having it break at all.

  6. Analysis • Our data shows that it is very difficult to keep an egg from breaking if you don’t look over everything that could go wrong with an experiment including weather conditions. • Plus, what we actually tested into the hypothesis is how the three eggs that fell ended up when dropped.

  7. Conclusion • We can’t either conclude or reject the hypothesis because none of the tests went as planed. • At this point we would have to look over what went wrong and try again with a better chance of succeeding.

  8. Thanks • What went wrong? • What can we do to improve on that?
