  6. Top Tip 4 • Number of marks • 2 marks: 2 points (identify question) • 4 marks: 2 points and describe/explain • 6 marks: 3 points and explain

  7. Top Tip 5 SWYS – add data/values 1st question of every topic = graph, map, image, cartoon etc. State the pattern and add specific values or name countries. State anomalies.

  8. Top Tip 6 • Scale: does the question ask for… • City, Country or Continent, Developed or Developing, • Rural or Urban • Local or National or International • Europe or North America

  10. Top Tip 7B Use Specific case study information Name the place and where it is…e.g Mumbai, India Add specifics: The Core of Mumbai’s population is 20.5 million compared to the rural periphery of Bihar’s population is….

  14. Top Tip 11 Don’t leave blanks At least Guess! If you can’t remember – MAKE IT UP – you may pick up a mark or two = better than leaving a blank space

  15. Top Tip 12 Read back through your answers Correct mistakes – in the past too many people have talked about developing countries when the paper asks for a developed country = 0 marks
