Gordon Lindsay wrote, "The story of the life of William Branham is so out of this world and beyond the ordinary that were there not available a host of infallible proofs which document and attest it's authenticity, one might well be excused for considering it far-fetched and incredible. But the facts are so generally known, and of such a nature that they can be so easily verified by any sincere investigator, that they must stand as God's witness to His willingness and purpose to reveal Himself again to men as He once did in the days of the prophets and the apostles. David Harrell: "The power of a Branham service remains a legend unparalleled in the history of the charismatic movement. Walter J. Hollenweger, who interpreted for him in Zurich I am not aware of any case in which he was mistaken in the often detailed statements he made. Ern Baxter, who accompanied him 4-8 months every year from 1947-1953, said he never heard his discernment inaccurate even once. Acts 13:41. If I ever say anything in your presence, as a doctrine or a teaching, that's not in the Bible, forget it, because it's not right. And if any angel (I don't care how real he looks, and how inspired he is), if he speaks contrary to the Word of God, leave him alone. He's not of God. Galatians 1:8 said, "An angel from heaven preach any other doctrine than this is, what already taught, let him be accursed." We don't take nothing but just what God... 1 Thessalonians 5:21. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

  6. THE SERPENT SEED In our view, these beliefs eventually lead to the rejection of the Bible as the true, inspired, word of God. If Eve committed adultery, don't you think that the Bible would have just come out and said it? There are quite a few logical problems when it comes to accepting the Serpent’s Seed doctrine teachings. Traditionally the Tree of Life is compared to Christ while also being a literal tree. If you follow the Serpent’s Seed, do you also believe that Adam and Eve had permission to have sex with the Tree of Life? Did God put cherubim around the tree to keep Adam and Eve from having sex with the good tree?

  7. THE SERPENT SEED If you believe the Serpent's seed doctrine then you are going against some basic scriptures. The Serpent's Seed rejects Acts 17:26 Acts 17 26. And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; The Serpent seed doctrine requires that a person reject this because it requires the belief that the serpent injected his blood into the human race. That's 2 bloods, not one. That's two origins not one, and two sources, not one.

  8. THE SERPENT SEED Romans 5:12 is also ignored Paul said that "as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men... That one man was Adam, not Cain. Not one woman, not one serpent. One man - Adam. So then, just as sin entered the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all people. Sin came into the world through one man, and his sin brought death with it. As a result, death has spread to the whole human race because everyone has sinned. If you believe the Serpent's seed is physical, you deny the truth of Romans 1 Timothy 2:14. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

THE SERPENT SEED William Branham taught that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was Satan or the serpent: ************ Now, if the Tree of Life was a Person, then the tree of knowledge was a person. Now, say the serpent didn't have a seed. If life come by man, death come by the woman. All right, she was the tree of death. Now that we have come this far, let me try to crystallize your thinking on this subject so you can see the necessity of our going into the 'serpent seed doctrine' as I have. We start with the fact that there were TWO trees in the midst of the garden. The Tree of Life was Jesus. The other tree is definitely Satan because of what came forth of the fruit of that tree. Now then, we know that both of those trees had a relationship to man or they would never have been placed there. 7 MESSAGES

  10. THE SERPENT SEED According to 1 Timothy 2:14, Adam was not deceived. Serpent seed theology interprets Eve eating the fruit as actually having sex with the serpent, a male. Since Adam also ate of this fruit, accepting this theory is to make the claim that Adam purposely committed a homosexual act with the serpent. William Branham's followers suggest that Adam eating of the fruit was a sex act with Eve. But if the tree was Satan or the serpent, wouldn't the fruit have to be the same thing that Eve participated in? Sex with the serpent? If Eve was the one who the serpent had sex with, was it not Eve who offered Adam the fruit? Note the same fruit and the same tree. If the fruit is sex with the serpent, then the fruit stays sex with the serpent. Exodus 19 14. And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes. 15. And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives. How could a man having sex with his own wife be sin? Does that make any sense?

  11. THE SERPENT SEED Leviticus 15 18. The woman also with whom man shall lie with seed of copulation, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the even. The question arises: Why were such normal, proper things as menstruation, sexual intercourse between married persons, and childbirth viewed in the Law as making one unclean? In the beginning God commanded them to be fruitful and bring forth children and provided sex as the means to accomplish this commission. It was therefore no sin for them to have sexual intercourse. However, when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, drastic changes took place. Suddenly their guilty sin-stricken consciences made them aware of their nakedness, and they immediately covered their genital organs from God’s sight. From then on, men could not carry out the commission to be fruitful and multiply in perfection, but, instead, the hereditary blemish of sin and the penalty of death would be transmitted from the parents to children. The seed had become corrupted!!!
