  2. My Resume Education Experience: • Counselor/Superintendent Intern James P. Douglas Elementary/Tyler ISD 2008 – 2009 Attained national recognition as a counselor. • Counselor/Principal Intern James P. Douglas Elementary and James S. Hogg Middle School/Tyler ISD 2007 – 2008 Motivated students to improve attendance. Our school was in the top 3 the entire year and won the #1 spot three times!!! • Bilingual Counselor James P. Douglas Elementary/Tyler ISD 2002-2009 Douglas Elementary is more than 80% Latino and 15% African-American. • Bilingual/ESL Teacher James L. Wright Elementary/Perryton ISD 1995-2002 Started out being a teacher of multi-aged covering three grade levels. After one year, switched to being a pull-out teacher working with New Arrivals who knew no English. • Spanish/ESL Teacher Spearman High School/Spearman ISD 1992-1995 I was originally hired as a Spanish teacher then took on the additional responsibility of ESL. Spearman is my home town where I was born and graduated. • ESL Teacher Central Elementary/Perryton ISD 1990-1992 This was my first ever job teaching. I taught all levels from Kindergarten through eighth grade.

Each one followed a consistent format but had to be distinctive. • Scheduled with teachers for classroom visits.

Student Guidance & Development • Students are expected to behave responsibly and to strive for improvement and to avoid punishment. • Ensured that students know the school rules, rewards, and consequences and their place in society. • Coordinated many of the guest speakers (Andy the Ambulance, NED, WHO).

Assistant principals from many campuses were moved to different locations. • I wrote a one page grant to Wal-Mart that awarded our campus $1000 to be used for uniforms. • I wrote a four page grant to be used to buy basketballs for the NBA.
