We chose Mackenzie’s solution because it was a simpler design. Ahamya’s design was a bit more complex and we were not sure how we would construct it. On the other hand, Mackenzie’s design was clean, easy design. We could both understand how we were going to construct it. The design was much easier to understand as well. It was the better design. Final Solution Explanation(What was your criteria or thought-process when selecting the final solution?)
What would you change about your design if you were to build a real candy dispenser? We’d make it out of more durable materials if we were to construct it for real. It would need to be made out of much more durable material, like a hard plastic. We’d also make it more attractive by making it much more colorful. How could you improve your project if you had to create it again? We would spend more time thinking through the design rather than just jumping right into building the model. We wasted time redoing portions of the project. What have you learned about your performance and how would you improve your performance on the next project? (Be specific) We helped each other along the way. With one partner sick, we did the best that we could to work as one well oiled machine. In the next project, (if we were partners again) we would try work more collaboratively. Specifically, we would communicate more to ensure that both partners liked the outcome.. What advice would you give students who will be assigned this project in the future? (Be specific.) Make sure to communicate! You cannot do everything by yourself! Reflect on the project
