2. Plot Plot What happened in the beginning of the book? In the beginning of the book, Little Willie finds out that his grandfather is sick but he doesn’t know why. What happened in the middle of the book? In the beginning of the book, Little Willie needs to get 500 dollars from taxes. He finds out that’s the reason he’s sick. Then he finds out about the race and the prize is 500 dollars. What happened at the end of the book? At the end of the book, the race was too much for searchlight, and the sleigh tumbles over her.
