Why melatonin is important to the maintenance of homeostasis • Plays a part in the reproduction system
Identify Feedback Mechanisms and Antagonistic Hormones. The feedback mechanism is that melatonin helps regulate the body by determining when it is day or night. -The antagonistic hormones are astrocytes, which makes up 5% of the pineal gland, as the rest of the gland is made up of 95% pinealocytes. -Is nutritional and structural for it to be involved in the clearance of neurotransmitters from within the synaptic cleft.
