  14. Organizations Served by Cisco in FY08 Using a Cisco ASA-5505, America’s Second Harvest was able to set-up a VPN between our Chicago office and a new food bank opened in San Diego. The new food bank just opened and has very limited funding for technology and no funding for technology staff.  Using the ASA-5505, we connected them to our systems in Chicago so they could run their email, warehouse food management and financial accounting system off our server.  We also used a Cisco switch to network the local San Diego office PCs.  As they expand, they will likely install a Cisco VOIP system. The majority of our food banks are smaller operations with no technology staff and very limited budgets.... The ability to acquire Cisco equipment through Tech Soup is a great benefit to our network. As the economy becomes worse and more people are in need of our assistance, we need to direct even more operating funds to food and transportation, leaving even less for technology. Cisco’s support of this program is a great help to America’s Second Harvest’s mission of providing hope by Feeding America. Thank you, Kevin KEVIN LUTZ VP of Technology Confidential and for Discussion Purposes Only
