  2. Interests • I am interested in recreational therapy because I love sports and understand the importance of having quick recoveries from injuries. I also love helping people so this occupation would incorporate both of my passions.

  3. Description • Plan, organize, direct therapeutic recreational activities • Make up programs to fit needs of injured patients • Use sports, trips, gardening, art, social interaction, nature, games, and aquatics

  4. Education • Master’s degree • Bachelor’s degree • Foundations in therapeutic recreation • Leisure education and counseling • Electives in human services • internship

  5. Monetary Compensation • Average hourly wage: $19.53 • Salary range: $37,053-$56,669

  6. Applying Biology • Many things I learned in this class I will use in my future career. Aside from the text I learned which will help me achieve my master’s and bachelor’s degrees, I learned many helpful habits. I learned to be responsible for my education and some new study techniques. I will keep the things I learned in this class with me forever.
