  2. Acquiring a place to live.. • Process is the method used to accomplish a task. • People have to make many decisions when trying to find a place to live. • When thinking about acquiring a place to live you have to think of how big your family is.

  3. Human and nonhuman costs • When considering housing costs it is important to recognize the many factors that affect them. • For example you have to pay utilities, rent etc. • Make sure when you are ready to repair something you know what your doing, or get someone to help.

  4. Needs, Wants, and Housing costs • When acquiring a housing cost it is important to know your needs and wants. • Some people never think and get something they can’t afford. • For example some of the first time homebuyers always want a dream house when they only need and adequate shelter.

  5. Costs involved in Method of Paying • When you pay for a lamp or some kind of accessory you have to know the exact cost obviously. • Some banks charge if you use a debit card or write a check (automatic transferring funds).

  6. Rent/Lease • Anyone can rent a home but most of the people that do are young adults, single people, young married or your elderly. • A lease all depends on your credit score/income, also how much space you need • How good of a house you need such as kept in good shape preferably

  7. Deposits of a Lease You can have a pet, security and maintenance deposit, security is usually half a month or full for rent. More every month for a pet? 1 year lease and set a penalty to get out early

  8. Renter’s Insurance • You need to make sure you have insurance to protect against a loss, such as theft, fire, or other causes. • It also provides a sense of security in even of loss of personal property.

  9. Place to Buy • Most people don’t rent or lease, they buy a house and expect or want to stay their for several years instead of move every 2 years. • Also they can make their own decisions about their home instead of asking an apartment owner if they can do a certain thing.

  10. The Right Price • Buying the right house is a simple task, but you want a house that you can afford and will make you happy. • To be able to afford a house you have to look size of savings account, income, and the debts you have if you have any. • There are a couple things you have to look at and those are estimating what you can afford, and how much money you can borrow.
