Vice President of Medicinal Chemistry • We seek a peer-recognized, industry-seasoned leader to serve as Vice President of Medicinal chemistry.  • Qualifications include a Ph.D. degree in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry along with at least 15 years of working experience, at least 12 years of experience in leadership roles in medicinal chemistry programs. Expertise in major target classes including GPCR and/or kinase target classes is required. The preferred candidate will have an outstanding track record of leadership in strategic planning, and advancing small molecule programs through the drug discovery and development process coupled with an extensive patent, and publication record.

  5. Executive Director /Senior Director /Director of Medicinal Chemistry • The ideal candidate will be an accomplished and innovative individual with a Ph.D. degree in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry along with at least 10 years of working experience in pharma/biotech and corresponding track record in a leadership capacity in medicinal chemistry. • Broad experiences and familiarity with small molecule drug targets including GPCR, kinase, proteases and other enzymes as well as ion channel targets are desired.

  6. Principal Scientist/Senior Scientist of Medicinal Chemistry • Fresh Graduate with Ph.D. degree in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry is required for Sr. Scientist. • Additional 2-3 years Postdoctoral research experience after Ph.D is required for Principal Scientist.

  7. Executive Director/Senior Director/Director of DMPK • The successful candidate will have a PhD degree in Pharmacokinetics, Drug Metabolism, or related field with a minimum of 4 to 15 years of industrial experience in the evaluation of small or large molecule therapeutics. • The ability to demonstrate excellent knowledge in PK and drug metabolism principles is a must, as is a working knowledge of PK/ADME science as it relates to drug discovery and development. • The candidate must have working experience and proficiency with HPLC and LCMS instrumentation. The candidate must be familiar with laboratory techniques such as in vitro/in vivo metabolism and PK experiments, analysis of drugs and metabolites in biological fluids. Experience in PK, and PK/PD data analysis including PK modeling, simulation and prediction, as well as familiarity with various PK software packages, such as WinNonLin is highly preferable. The position requires the mentoring/leading of lesser experienced scientists and staff.

  8. Executive Director/ Senior Director/ Director of Formulation Development • An accomplished and innovative individual with a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutics along with at least six to seven years (for Director position), seven to nine years ( for Senior Director position) and greater than 10 years (for executive Director position) of hands on working experience (after obtaining Ph. D. degree) and/or at least 5 years of experience in project management. • The candidate must have a demonstrated record of accomplishments in formulation development of solid and liquid oral dosage forms from initial phase to scale up for technical transfers. Additional experience with other dosage forms will be an added asset. Problem solving ability and adept handling of formulation teams is a must-have quality. Experience of working across cultures would be an added benefit.  

  9. Senior Director/ Director of Pre-formulation Development • An accomplished and innovative individual with a Ph.D. degree in Physical Chemistry/ Physical pharmacy along with at least   six to seven years (for Director position), seven to nine years ( for Senior Director position) of hands on working experience (after obtaining Ph. D. degree) and/or at least 5 years of experience in project management.   • The candidate must have a demonstrated record of accomplishments in pre-formulation activities for solid and liquid oral dosage forms including preformulation support to discovery stage activities. Problem solving ability and adept handling of pre-formulation teams is a must-have quality. Experience of working across cultures would be an added benefit.

  10. Executive Director/ Senior Director/ Director of Process R&D • An experienced individual to lead multiple groups of process chemists working on the route selection, process development and scale-up in the GMP manufacturing plant. • Provide managerial and technical directions to the team. Continuously develop people within the team and improve the team's overall capability and productivity. • Responsible for the projects and collaborations assigned to the team. Good communication skills and strong organic synthesis knowledge are required.  • A Ph.D. in chemistry with at least 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical industry and a proven record of accomplishments is desired. 

  11. Senior Director/ Director of Analytical R&D •  An experienced individual to lead the groups to support the API development, formulation development, API /clinical trial material manufacturing activities.  • A PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry with a minimum of 5 years industrial experience in small molecule pharmaceutical analysis - all aspects of drug substance and drug product analysis and characterization • proven experience in bringing new pharmaceutical products from inception to regulatory registration are required. 

  12. Positions in US • Director Business Development (API Development/Manufacturing) The incumbent will work from his/her home office and work closely with STA’s senior management team in China as well as BD and Marketing team in US to develop and execute the most effective strategy to increase API and intermediate sales in North America market.

  13. Director Business Development (API Development/Manufacturing) • BA/BS in Life Science, Business, Marketing or related Technical degree, or equivalent training and/or experience. Preference to Life Sciences degrees in chemistry area. • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) or Masters (MS) in Life Sciences nice to have but not required • 5-10 years of relevant industry experience in chemical or pharmaceutical development and/or manufacturing. Experience in CRO, CMO or generic API manufacturing is preferred, but not required. • 5+ years of sales, project management and/or business development experience. Must have a proven track record of success meeting or exceeded goals/targets. Experience successfully navigating large matrixes organizations. Experience developing new accounts through various prospecting tactics. • Experience selling products/services that typically require longer sales cycles (9 – 24 months). Strong knowledge of selling skills and selling strategies. • Must be a self starter, self-motivated, highly flexible, with excellent communications skills (verbal, written, and presentation skills). Must be organized and detailed-oriented. • Proven experience in creating successful business development plans and processes. Marketing experience preferred but not required. • Ability to create or modify presentations or other collateral as needed. Strong skills with MS Office Products, MS PowerPoint and Excel are required. • Experience using a mix of communication methods with customers and prospects (in person visits, email, presentation, webinar, etc.). • Experience selling to various levels of personnel within an organization (Senior Vice President, Vice President, senior technical employees, procurement professionals, etc.). • The ability to use sound judgment and critical thinking skills and required based on the complexity of the situation. • Must be willing to travel a minimum of 50% of the time on an annualized basis within and outside of assigned geographic region.
