Structure of inner parts HERMES • A robust coil system is connected to the shielded lead wire cable • All inner parts are over moulded with EPOXY • Temperature resistance of sensor head = 390°F / 200°C
Structure of inner parts HERMES • A 3 pin AMP superseal-connector containing signal treatment electronics • Additional functionality as per definition • Cable entry and electronic is protected by a thermelt over-mould
Speed Sensor Properties HERMES • 5 VDC power supply; square wave output signal • Able to detect Aluminum and Titanium blades of small dimensions • Suitable to detect speed values up to 300’000 min-1 at 8..10 blades of compressor wheel • Very robust construction • Proven solution for Turbocharger applications
Mounting position / main dimensions • Ready to be mounted in the compressor housing • Diameter of tip end about 5 mm • Length of nose min 30 mm • Bracket for fixing screw M5 • Cable diameter ~ 5 mm, typical length 300 mm
