About the Art • Inspired by nature books, fairy tales, Japanese woodblock prints, Persian miniatures • Subjects are usually women • Show women in there struggles of being female • Influenced by personal experiences and medieval history • Themes such as transformation and evolution
Facts about Art • Cutler's characters have elongated noses, long pigtails, teapot heads, or broomstick arms • They wear folk costumes, hoop skirts, or dresses that become tents for sleeping and shelter • Mysterious actions--resonating pigs or attaching chairs and silverware to their head
