Market research • We asked some classes how much they would be willing to pay for a candy cane mouse. • Our research concluded that we could charge £1, 75p or 50p. The most popular price was 75p. • A survey in class found that the majority of children like different coloured ears.
Budget • To make one mouse would cost 34 pence • To make 200 mice would cost £68 • The cost of a candy can mouse to buy would be £1.00 • The profit on one mouse would be 66 pence • We would need to sell 68 to break even. • If we sold 200 mice we would make £132.47 profit
Advertising • We are going to advertise on the school blog and make posters which we will put up around the school and outside the school. • You can use it as a tree decoration to start with and then you can eat it. When you have eaten it you can reuse the felt mouse. • Each candy cane would only cost £1.00 to buy. • People should buy our product because it has lots of different uses such as a decoration, a treat to eat and a toy. • Our slogan is: • Small but sweet and a fantastic treat
