The Study background: The Ministry of Education and Ministry of Information and Communications Technology and Jordan Education Initiative signed a memorandum of understanding in January 2011 to conduct the first national study to measure the use and diffusion of ICT in schools in Jordan during the 2010/2011 academic year. Specifically
The Study objectives: • Be a reliable source of information on the status of ICT diffusion and usage in the public and private schools in Jordan • Help the government of Jordan-specifically, the Ministry of Education, Ministry of ICT to understand the status of ICT deployment, access, and usage in the Jordanian schools; • Support and inform the policy makers in their decisions to invest in ICT in education • Help the private sector companies/organizations in their strategic planning regarding the use of ICT in education in Jordan.
Targeted schools: all schools in Jordan Public schools include: MoE schools, Ministry of defense, Ministry of Social Development Private schools include: private schools, Universities’ schools

Qualitative feedbacks The participants focused on the slow speed of internet, lack of time for using the internet in addition to SHORTAGE OF ARABIC CONTENT as a challenge while using the internet.

Qualitative feedbacks Teachers and Principals confirmed that the Eduwave system is very useful; they use it intensively for administrative purposes and for publishing the students’ results. Some students mentioned that they, and their parents , usually, use Eduwave to check their scores and to explore the e-contents. Other students mentioned that they don’t know how to use Eduwave, or even how to access it as they don’t know the passwords…neither them nor their parents.

Qualitative feedbacks Teachers from the south mentioned that the technical support process is not effective ; it suffers from the bureaucracy. Lack of frequent maintenance and required follow up.
