  5. Criteria for Project Consideration • Realistic dollar amount to be raised • Class survey decides project(s) and priorities • Recognition for Class of 1967 • Support the Academy’s priorities, USAFA graduates and the Cadet Wing

  6. Not Considered by Reunion Committee • No “brick and mortar” projects as these are very costly • No faculty endowed chairs for the same reason

  7. Earlier Classes • 1959 ~$340,000 for the Harmon Memorial • 1960 ~ $240,000 for the Heritage Trail • 1961 ~ $860,000 for Cemetery memorials • 1962 ~ $280,000 for CCLD rooms • 1966 hoping to raise $1,000,000

  9. Legacy Class Changes • Previously, 40 years was the criterion for becoming a legacy class • With 53 graduating classes that has now changed to 50 years • We were the legacy class for 2007 and will be the legacy class for 2017

Potential Projects (not in any priority) • CCLD Recognition opportunities • Large seminar room $1M • North Lobby $250K No longer available • Two atriums $250K each No longer available • Breakout rooms $100k Available • Heritage Trail POW Memorial – need $50K to complete • Carillon Maintenance – cost estimate @2500/year, or $50,000 for 20 years

Potential Projects • Naming Opportunities through AOG’s Long Blue Line Endowment • Help offset CHECKPOINTS costing $310K/yr • Honoring deceased graduates through next of kin reception and wooden memento box ~ $40K/yr • Founders Day support – expand outreach for yearly event that recognizes founding of AF Academy and newest Distinguished Graduates – cost TBD

Potential Projects • Cadet Commanders Leadership Enrichment Seminars (CLES) - $40K/year • Commandant’s Character Education Programs (VECTOR, R&R, ROPES, LIFT and ACES) – cost for all programs $220k/year • ACES for 2017 ~ $35K • Legacy Class Support • Sponsor graduation reception at Supt’s Qtrs - $3500 • Purchase 2nd Lt bars for each graduate $7000 • Support of 100th Night - cost approx $11000
