  1. Solar Photovoltaics • Solar Panels on the roof, which generate electricity. This can be used in the property or if you are not using electric (e.g. because you are out) it goes into the national grid. • Typically it would save about £130 per year on your electricity bill.

  2. Solar Photovoltaics • Properties have to have a roof slope facing South (ish) and not be overshadowed. • Typically only about 17.25% of the housing stock is suitable.

  3. Solar Photovoltaics • We have fitted solar PV to 277 properties most of the in Dearne North and South • The amount the government will contribute (feed in tariff) has gone down a considerably and we think they are no longer viable, but we will keep an eye on this.

  4. Voltage Optimisation ‘V Phase’ Household electricity bills will be around 10% less each year.
