They are the size of a house cat. • Their tail is an additional 18 inches. • They have reddish-brown fur, black and white fur, and a foxes face. • They are mammals.
The Red Panda lives in climates with 50-70o F. • It lives in the mountains of China. • It lives in caves and build nests.
The predators of the Red Panda are: snow leopards, martens and humans.
The Red Panda protects itself by climbing a tree or standing on its hind legs and fighting with it’s huge claws.
The Red Panda is an omnivore. • It eats bamboo, eggs, birds, insects and small animals. • It gets its food from dusk to dawn.
The Red Panda is endangered and threatened. • They are hunted for their fur. • Their habitats are being destroyed.
Since Red Pandas are endangered, no one can hunt them anymore and they will survive.
