  2. Ruth 3:1Then Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?

  3. GREATERVISION…

  4. Regardless of your past, or past experiences, the Grace of God can make a difference in your life!

  5. And with that Grace, you can have a great marriage and a lasting love!

  6. Naomi “Casts a Vision” for Ruth

  7. “Shall I seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?”

  8. The word ‘rest’ can be translated as ‘home’

  9. ‘Home’ can be translated as ‘rest’

  10. The two words go hand in hand!

  11. This is a great SECURITY that comes from marriage!

  12. BELIEVE YOU CAN HAVE IT!

  13. Philippians 4:13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

  14. Ruth 3:2And now is not Boaz of our kindred, with whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to night in the threshingfloor.

  15. THE THRESHING FLOOR A Place For Refining

  16. THE THRESHING FLOOR A Place For Refining Boaz would be winnowing barley on the threshing floor in the evening

  17. THE THRESHING FLOOR The threshing floor was usually located on an elevated, exposed site so the breeze could help in the winnowing process

  18. THE THRESHING FLOOR The westerly winds in Israel are a lot like the winds in southwest Florida.They begin to blow in the afternoon, and continue through sunset

  19. THE THRESHING FLOOR The grain was separated from the husks by animal drawn sledges being pulled across the grain, which was then thrown in the air with a wooden pitchfork

  20. THE THRESHING FLOOR The breeze helped blow away the chaff, allowing the kernels of grain to drop to the threshing floor

  21. THE THRESHING FLOOR The men would usually remain though the night to guard the grain remaining at the threshing floor

  22. THE INSTRUCTIONS: Ruth 3:3-43 Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking.

  23. THE INSTRUCTIONS: Ruth 3:3-44 And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do.

  24. THE INSTRUCTIONS: • Wash Yourself • Anoint Yourself • Clothe Yourself • Go Down Yourself • Don’t Make Yourself Known • Be Aware Of Yourself

  25. BE YOU, NOT SOMEBODY ELSE!BUT BE THE BEST YOU, YOU CAN BE!

  26. The way you keep yourself, and the way you present yourself, matters!

Let Jesus Help You… • Wash Yourself Ephesians 5:24-2624 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

  30. Let Jesus Help You… • Clothe Yourself Ephesians 5:27That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

  34. HAVE A TEACHABLE AND WILLING SPIRIT

  35. This is HUGE in a relationship!

  36. The opposite is a stubborn, rebellious spirit!

  37. This is absolutely DESTRUCTIVE in our relationship!

Ruth 3:7-87 And when Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of corn: and she came softly, and uncovered his feet, and laid her down. 8 And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet.

  39. BE HUMBLE AND PATIENT!

  40. “I want a great marriage and I want it right now!” This is arrogantand unreasonable!

  41. It takes work and it takes time!

  42. Ruth 3:9And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.
