Potential By June 2012 • Increased staff confidence in planning and carrying out T, L & A. • Secondary departments able to state with confidence their significant and distinctive contribution to RoA (and begin to QA this). • Primary specialists working with secondary curricular specialists – reciprocal support/ valuable steps in enhancing quality of learning across P-S transition. • Detailed feedback on evidence submitted with clear next steps for teachers/departments. • Summary report by each team to inform future improvement. • Potential for SMT, QIT to sample the evidence/findings. • Staff able to begin discussion of what a portfolio of work towards a CfE Level might consist of. First steps towards a moderation board? • Professional recognition for staff leading developments.

To summarise! Secondary • Encouragement of staff to attend Meeting 2 (twilight QA) – ideally should be all curricular/subject area PTs. • Your agreement that named staff can be invited to NQAG training. • Agreement that selected curricular staff may participate in Level 2 moderation as required by the process from January 2012. Primary • LC agreement on either LIT 2-16a or LIT 2-18a Literacy (Reading: Understanding, Analysing and Evaluating) as a focus. • LC agreement on a curricular context as a focus (FORM A). • Your nominations of staff to participate in Level 3 curricular area moderation with secondary colleagues (FORM B). • Your advice – regarding scheduling and management of staff participation in Meetings 3 and 4.
