Objectives of SDOStakeholder Session at 12th Plenary • Understand current and envisioned SDOs collaboration • inclusive: de jure, consortia, de facto • Identify insights on evolving SDO environment • focus UN/CEFACT resources to deliver unique value and build synergy • Solicit input for UN/CEFACT strategy
Recommendations • Improve communications between the Plenary and the Forum participants and with SDOs • Reinforce cooperation and coordination with other SDOs • Update the Open Development Process for greater participation from external interests • Promote recognition of the value of UN/CEFACT’s common semantic framework
Follow-Up Actions • Improve communications: Plenary, Forum + SDOs • Extended Bureau meetings (FMG and Bureau) • strategy and priorities • Increased participation by SDOs at Plenary and Forums • Reinforce cooperation and coordination with SDOs • Established UN/CEFACT SDO Coordination Matrix • Organization and url • Existing UN/CEFACT liaison or cooperation agreement • Work relevant to electronic business capabilities • Deliverables relevant to UN/CEFACT Programme of Work • Joint work items with UN/CEFACT • UN/CEFACT deliverables currently used
Follow-Up Actions (2) • Additional cooperation and coordination with SDOs • working with MoUMG (IEC, ISO, ITU,+) • working with ISO TC 154 + OASIS on path for ebXML • transition of Standards Liaison Rapporteur remit to Bureau • Architecture Project + MoUMG eBusiness Capabilities Framework • Update ODP for external input • improved ODP submitted for approval • Promote recognition of the value of UN/CEFACT’s common semantic framework • participating in many forums for this, example: • CEN/ISSS workshop - electronic public procurement
