Background UP206A Unemployment Rate in US 失业的根源主要有两个方面，一是由于金融危机,导致劳动力相对过剩,即由于总需求萎缩,生产随即萎缩,从而导致工人失业; 现在的工人失业是结构性失业,即劳动者由于缺乏技能、信心、社会网络及经验而找不到合适的工作。 对于前者，应当扩大经济刺激政策，创造就业，让工人们重新回到工作岗位。 对于后者，则需要培训劳动者，及时提供就业信息，使劳动者尽快找到工作。SoI think it’s a good idea to invest on job service center to reduce unemployment. • The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in US decreased over the month to 8.5 percent in December 2011 from a revised 8.7 percent in November 2011 and was below the rate of 9.4 one year ago. • The root causes of unemployment are mainly two aspects, firstly, because of the financial crisis, resulting in relative surplus of labor, then aggregate demand and production shrink, workers lose their jobs; Secondly, the unemployment is structural unemployment, and workers are lack of skills, confidence, social network and experience and they can not find suitable jobs.
