Overall Objectives of the Masters Programs (M.S.M. & M.B.A.) with Specialization in Health Management • Develop mastery in interpersonal, written and oral communication skills • Enhance critical thinking, decision making and strategic thinking skills • Refine research and analytical skills • Enhance organizational leadership skills • Examine legal, regulatory, ethical, political, and social trends impacting the health care industry • Understand & apply current theories of management to improve health care systems • Learn strategies to impact state, national & global health policy

M.S.M. in Health Care Management(36 Credits) • Non-traditional year-round program for working health care professionals with undergraduate degree • Choice of Evening or Weekend classes; all HM courses “hybrid” format (i.e. part on-site/part online) • PT students enrolled in 2 courses per 9-week blocks for 6 Terms can complete the degree in 15-18 months • 35% tuition reduction for health care professionals

  6. M.B.A. in Health Care Management(42 Credits) • Non-traditional year-round program for working health care professionals seeking advanced preparation in quantitative and financial aspects of health care management • Requires pre-requisites in Accounting, Economics & Statistics • 30 Credits in Core Courses; 12 credits in Specialization • Earn MBA degree in 15-18 months, depending on FT or PT status • Choice of Evening or Weekend classes; all HM specialization courses offered in “hybrid” format (i.e. part on-site/part online)

  7. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR M.S.M. & M.B.A • Bachelor’s degree with 3.0 GPA from accredited US College or University (or foreign equivalent) • Working FT in Health Care Field • Resume and Personal Goal Statement • Interview with Program Director • Two Letters of recommendation (one by immediate supervisor) • No GRE/GMAT is required
