Shipment “Legs” have been added to the View Shipment Report. Please see the next slides to review where the leg information is on the report, what it looks like, and what information is available. Note that the leg information is not current to the minute as the updates come as available from shipping carriers.
To view shipment leg information, go to View Shipments and click on the “Shipment Details” link for a specific shipment. See red highlight below.
The shipment leg information is at the bottom of the page and is mostly self-explanatory. Each leg will be updated until delivery or the next leg occurs. The “Status” and “Status Reason” are explained more in the next pages.
Status • Potential Status Codes are: • Shipment Damaged • Completed Unloading at Delivery Location • Arrived at Customs • Departed Terminal Location • Shipment Delayed • Arrived at Delivery Location • En Route to Delivery Location • A shipment will always have at least “Departed Terminal Location” and “Completed Unloading at Delivery Location”; all others status codes are optional.
Status Reason • For some Status Codes, such as Shipment Delayed, JSI has requested that a Reason Code be sent to further clarify the reason for the Status Code. • Potential Status Reason Codes: • Incorrect Address • Customer Requested Future Delivery • Consignee Related • Holiday – Closed • Recipient Unavailable – Delivery Delayed • Hold Due to Customs Documentation Problems • Consignee Closed • Missing Documents • Other • Normal Status • Mechanical Breakdown • Weather or Natural Disaster Related • Shipper Related
