Bering Strait Bridge /Tunnel Proposal • In June 2005, Rev. Moon announced his proposal to develop the Bering Strait project, essentially as an endeavor for world peace. • The Universal Peace Federation has been promoting this peace initiative in conferences and venues around the world. • In December 2005, PK International was established in Korea to promote the practical furtherance of this proposal.
Bering Strait Bridge /Tunnel Proposal This proposal is significant in two ways: • It has high symbolic value for peace, in particular by linking the former enemy nations of the US and Russia; and bridging two continents. • It has immense practical value by greatly facilitating the global transport, exchange of goods, increased interaction and engagement of the world’s peoples.
